From now on, everything will automatically be placed in the appropriate place. Only answers directly from the Inbox go to Sent Items.
5.3 Quick Steps â semi-automatic work
Sometimes, the conditions to handle an email are not that clear. Maybe you need to decide about the importance first or who might be the best one to assign the job to. But after that decision, there is a pre-determined step or cascade of steps to do. In such a case, Quick Steps can be the feature of choice.
For our example, we assume you get a request that exceeds your competencies. Therefore, you intend to answer the sender the request is being processed, forward the mail to your boss, and assign a Follow-up for you to make sure itâs taken care of in time. Such a procedure occurs frequently and now weâd like to make sure the road is paved, and we donât need to do that manually all over again. But Outlook will have to wait for our personal sign which way to go.
To get it done we have the Quick Steps roughly in the middle of the app window. Click Create New. To see it, you may have to unfold the area with the arrow on the right.
